Privacy Policy

MagiCal turns schedules and notes into calendar events that you review before anything is exported. This policy explains the limited information used to provide that service.

Information MagiCal handles

• Schedule images and optional instructions you submit for recognition.
• The events you review, edit, select, and export.
• A verified email address used for free-try limits and purchase restoration.
• Payment status and Stripe transaction identifiers. MagiCal does not receive or store card numbers.
• Privacy-friendly aggregate usage information, such as a pseudonymous daily visit and campaign source. Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control, and the in-app analytics opt-out are respected.
• Basic account or page information you expressly authorize a connected service, such as Meta, to share with MagiCal. MagiCal requests only the permissions needed for the feature you choose.

How information is used

Difficult images are sent securely through MagiCal’s server to OpenAI for event recognition with model storage disabled. One-time phone-transfer and calendar-import files expire after 15 minutes. Saved scan history stays in your browser unless you delete it or choose a retention setting.

Calendar and social-platform connections

If you choose Google or Outlook, MagiCal stores encrypted connection tokens so it can add only the events you approve. If you authorize a supported Meta connection, MagiCal uses the information and permissions you approve only to provide the requested connection. MagiCal does not publish to a social platform without the action and confirmation required by that feature.

You can disconnect a calendar or connected service at any time. MagiCal never adds calendar events before your review and confirmation.

Sharing and retention

MagiCal uses service providers only to operate recognition, email verification, payments, hosting, connected services, and calendar connections. MagiCal does not sell personal information. Verification, trial, purchase, encrypted connection, and calendar records are retained only as needed to provide access, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Children

MagiCal is designed for adults managing schedules and is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit sensitive student records or information that is unnecessary for a calendar event.

Your choices

You can delete device-local scans in Settings, disconnect connected services, opt out of analytics, or request help with stored verification and purchase records. For account and connected-service deletion requests, follow the data deletion instructions.
